On behalf of the Meadowbrook Parent’s Advisory Council (P.A.C. or PAC), we would like to welcome new and returning families to the Meadowbrook community. We hope you had a fun and restful summer !
Parental and community involvement is vital to the Reggio philosophy, as we are all partners in our young learners’ educations. Hence as ‘teachers’ at Meadowbrook we, the PAC, endeavour to give you various opportunities to become involved and/or support our community. We believe that for a successful Reggio community to reach its full potential each parent or guardian needs to become involved in some way. This year we are excited to have a few new events on the calendar and an enthusiastic PAC executive team with great ideas!
PAC meetings are held the first Monday evening of every month and are the best way to become involved. It’s an opportunity for parents to find out the latest information on events, programs and changes at Meadowbrook Elementary. If you are unable to make our evening meetings, we also have ‘Snack with the PAC’ after drop-off at 9 a.m. every Tuesday morning following the PAC Meetings in the Strong Start room. Come for coffee and find out what we talked about (younger siblings are welcome).
Throughout the school year the PAC has many different fundraising events for programs that we support, all geared to enrich our learner’s educational experience. For these events to succeed we need to be able to communicate with you efficiently and effectively. To that effect, we send out week newsletters please use this link to subscribe to our weekly newsletters that are sent out every Monday morning or keep up to date with our calendar.
We thank you and look forward to working with you this year!
